Frequently Asked Questions

Does this multi surface spray paint contain lead or harmful solvents?

This spray paint is free from lead, toluene, and xylene, making it a safer choice for use in workshops, farm buildings, and other enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces. The absence of these substances is a deliberate part of the formulation. As with any aerosol paint, refer to the safety data sheet before use.

Does this spray paint protect metal surfaces from rust and corrosion?

Yes, this aerosol spray paint inhibits rust and corrosion on metal surfaces, giving treated metal an added layer of protection beyond colour coverage. It is suitable for both interior and exterior metal, including railings, fixings, and farm equipment. The DS0400M1 delivers a bright Light Yellow gloss finish at the same time as providing that protection.

What surfaces can this spray paint be used on?

This multi surface spray paint is suitable for metal, wood, and a wide range of other surfaces. It is formulated for both interior and exterior use, so it handles outdoor exposure as well as indoor projects. The aerosol format makes it especially practical for awkward shapes, fixings, and railings that are difficult to coat with a brush.

Is a trigger grip included with this aerosol, or does it need to be bought separately?

The can comes on its own without a trigger grip. A Douglas Spray Paint Trigger Grip is available separately and can be attached to the can for more comfortable use during extended painting sessions. The 400ml can itself is ready to use straight away without any additional accessories.
