Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any safety precautions to follow when using this aerosol spray paint?

Use this spray paint in a well-ventilated area and keep it away from heat sources and open flames - the pressurised can is extremely flammable. Avoid spraying near the eyes and limit prolonged skin contact, as repeated exposure may cause dryness or cracking. Do not store or expose the can to temperatures above 50°C. Refer to the safety data sheet before use.

Does this spray paint protect metal against rust?

Yes. The formula actively inhibits rust and corrosion, so metal surfaces get a protective layer as well as a clean matt black finish. The formulation is also lead and toluene free, making it a safer choice than older-generation spray paints. The DS0400A is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use across multiple surface types.

What surfaces is this multi surface spray paint suitable for?

This aerosol spray paint works across multiple surface types, including metal and timber, without requiring specialist preparation on most jobs. It is built for householders, tradespeople, and farmers tackling everyday painting tasks around the home, workshop, or farmyard, whether indoors or outdoors.

Do I need a brush or any additional tools to apply this spray paint?

No additional tools are needed. The 400ml can is a pressurised aerosol, so it sprays directly onto the surface with no brush or roller required. Apply in short, even strokes for the best matt black result. One can gives good coverage on small to medium jobs.

Yes, Heavins.ie is fully committed to environmental responsibility and participates in Ireland’s WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling scheme. That means when you buy a new electrical item from us, we offer free recycling of your old appliance or electrical item.
