Einhell Cordless Impact Driver with Power X-Change 18V Battery System

140Nm of torque for demanding screwdriving tasks:

The Einhell TE-CI 18/1 Li delivers a maximum torque of 140Nm, making it well suited to driving large or long screws through timber and a wide range of materials. The impact mechanism applies rotational force without transferring torsion back to the user's wrist, which makes it noticeably less tiring to use than a standard drill driver on heavy screwdriving jobs. With a no-load speed of 0-2,300/min and an impact rate of 0-3,200 bpm, the tool keeps pace with most DIY and workshop tasks.

Part of the Power X-Change battery ecosystem:

This cordless impact driver is a member of the Einhell Power X-Change system, meaning the included 2.5Ah 18V Li-ion battery is fully compatible with all other Power X-Change tools in the range. If you already own Einhell Power X-Change tools, you can share batteries across the whole family. On a full charge, the 2.5Ah battery drives approximately 230 screws (6×60mm into soft timber), giving a practical measure of what to expect from a typical session.

Compact, well-balanced design for all-day use:

Weighing just 1.17kg without the battery, the TE-CI 18/1 Li is built for comfortable handling during extended use. The ergonomic Softgrip surfaces reduce fatigue, and the short overall length helps in confined spaces. A built-in belt clip keeps the driver close to hand on site, and three power LEDs provide illumination around the work area when light is poor.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Charge the 2.5Ah battery fully before first use using the supplied charger. Insert a standard 6.35mm hex shank bit into the bit holder and fit the charged battery to the tool body until it clicks securely into place.

Choosing the right bit:

Use impact-rated hex shank bits (PH2, PZ2, Torx, and similar) for best results and longer bit life. The 6.35mm (1/4 in) bit holder is the universal standard for impact drivers and accepts a wide range of readily available bits.

Battery care:

Store the battery at room temperature and avoid leaving it fully discharged for extended periods. The Power X-Change battery can be charged separately from the tool, which is convenient when managing multiple batteries across the range.

Tool maintenance:

Keep the tool body clean and free from dust using a dry cloth. The 6.35mm bit holder should be checked periodically to ensure bits seat firmly. Store the tool in a dry location away from direct sunlight and moisture.
