Portwest L440 Rain Suit with Sealed Seams and 5,000 mm Waterproof Column

Certified waterproof protection:

The L440 carries an EN 343 Class 3:1 X rating with a waterproof column of 5,000 mm, meaning it meets the European standard for protective clothing against rain in demanding conditions. Taped seams on both the jacket and the trousers prevent water from penetrating at the stitch lines, keeping the wearer dry throughout a full working day outdoors.

Texpel Splash Eco fabric finish:

The outer shell is 100% polyester, PVC coated and treated with Portwest's Texpel™ Splash Eco finish - a PFAS-free, extremely water-resistant DWR treatment that causes water to bead away from the fabric surface rather than soak in. This is in addition to the PVC coating itself, giving two layers of water-resistance working together.

UV protection and all-weather use:

The fabric carries a 40+ UPF rating, blocking 98% of UV rays. This makes the L440 a practical choice not just for wet weather but for extended outdoor use in summer months where sun exposure is a consideration alongside rain.

Jacket design and comfort features:

The jacket includes a pack-away adjustable hood, inner elasticated cuffs to prevent water entry at the wrist, two front pockets, and a front zip opening. A vented back yoke with eyelets improves air circulation, reducing heat build-up during active work.

Trousers design and fit:

The waterproof trousers feature a fully elasticated waistband for an easy pull-on fit, two side pass-through pockets, and a snap-adjustable hem that allows the trouser leg to be secured neatly at the ankle. Both pieces come packaged together in one retail carry bag.
