Setup and Care

Getting started:

Insert your Nano-SIM card using the provided eject tool - the hybrid slot accepts two Nano-SIMs or one Nano-SIM plus a microSDXC card. Power on, follow the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 setup wizard, and sign into your Google account to restore apps and data from a previous Android device.

Charging your handset:

Use a USB Type-C cable with a compatible 45W USB-PD charger (not included) to take full advantage of the 45W turbo charging speed. A standard USB-C charger will also charge the phone at a lower wattage. Xiaomi recommends using an official Xiaomi 45W power adapter for best results.

Water and dust resistance:

The IP64 rating means the Redmi 17 4G is fully dust-tight and can handle water splashes from any direction. Avoid submerging the handset in water, and dry the USB-C port thoroughly before charging if it has been exposed to moisture.

Software updates and storage management:

Keep Xiaomi HyperOS 3 up to date via Settings - About Phone - System Update to receive the latest security patches. If internal storage runs low, insert a microSDXC card (up to 2TB) using the hybrid SIM tray - note this will occupy the second SIM slot.
