Setup and Care

Getting started:

Insert your Nano SIM card using the supplied eject tool, power on the handset, and follow the on-screen Android 16 setup guide. Xiaomi HyperOS 3 will prompt you to sign into your Google account and configure biometric unlock via the side fingerprint sensor during first-time setup.

Keeping the software current:

Go to Settings, then About Phone, then System Update to check for the latest Xiaomi HyperOS and Android security patches. Xiaomi supports this model with 4 major OS updates and 6 years of security updates.

Caring for the battery:

The 6000 mAh battery is rated for 1,000 charging cycles while retaining at least 80% capacity. Using the supplied USB-C cable and a compatible 15W charger gives the fastest safe charging speed. Avoid leaving the phone on charge in very warm environments for extended periods.

Keeping the handset clean:

The IP52 rating protects against light splashes and dust ingress - wipe the exterior with a slightly damp microfibre cloth and dry promptly. Avoid submerging the handset or exposing the USB-C and headphone ports to prolonged moisture.
