Three cleaning modes in one cordless machine:

The Dyson V16 Piston Animal Submarine vacuums dry debris, washes hard floors, and converts into a handheld - all with the same cordless unit. The Submarine™ 2.0 motorised microfibre wet roller head mops hard floors and picks up wet spills, while the All Floor Cones™ Sense cleaner head handles dry vacuuming across carpets and hard floors. Switching between modes takes seconds by swapping the cleaner head.

Hyperdymium™ 900W motor and 315 AW suction:

The Dyson Hyperdymium™ digital motor spins at up to 125,000 RPM and delivers 315 AW of suction, measured at the inlet to IEC 62885-4:2023 in Boost mode. Dynamic Cyclones activate in Boost mode to add further separation force. Three power levels let you match suction to the task, preserving battery life on lighter jobs and reserving full power for heavier debris and carpet.

Built to handle pet hair without tangling:

The Hair Screw Tool 2.0 is a motorised conical handheld attachment designed to remove long human hair and pet hair from upholstery, stairs, and car seats without wrapping around the brush. The All Floor Cones™ Sense cleaner head is also designed to resist tangling on floor surfaces. Together, they make the V16 Piston Animal a practical choice for households with dogs, cats, or long-haired occupants.

Up to 70 minutes of fade-free run time:

The advanced seven-cell lithium battery delivers up to 70 minutes of run time and is click-in removable, so a spare battery can extend cleaning sessions further. The battery charges in approximately 4.5 hours via the supplied Wall Dock. Fade-free suction means performance does not drop as the battery level falls.

CleanCompaktor™ bin and fully-sealed HEPA filtration:

The CleanCompaktor™ bin uses an internal piston to compress dust and debris, effectively extending the time between emptying to up to 30 days under normal use. The bin empties hygienically by opening a hatch above the bin and pressing the piston - keeping hands clear of the contents. A fully-sealed, five-stage HEPA filtration system captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns, tested to ASTM F3150.

Dust detect sensor and LCD display:

A built-in dust detect sensor counts particles up to 15,000 times a second, automatically adjusting suction power to respond to debris levels and balance performance with run time. The LCD screen on the body displays real-time particle count, current power mode, remaining battery life, and maintenance alerts. The MyDyson™ app connects via Bluetooth for additional settings, usage statistics, and software updates.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Mount the Wall Dock to a wall near a power socket using the supplied fittings, then attach the charger. Charge the battery fully before first use - approximately 4.5 hours. The LCD screen indicates when charging is complete and when the machine is ready to use.

Attaching and switching cleaner heads:

Press the red release button on the wand to swap between the All Floor Cones™ Sense head for dry vacuuming and the Submarine™ 2.0 head for wet floor washing. The Hair Screw Tool 2.0 and other attachments click directly onto the wand or onto the main body for handheld use.

Emptying the bin:

Hold the machine over a bin, open the hatch at the base of the CleanCompaktor™ bin, and press the piston to eject compressed debris cleanly. The bin and cyclone shroud can be rinsed with cold water and left to dry completely - at least 24 hours - before reassembly. Do not use detergent on cyclone components.

Filter and roller care:

Rinse the HEPA filter under cold running water once a month, gently squeezing until the water runs clear, then leave to dry fully for at least 24 hours before refitting. The Submarine™ 2.0 wet roller cover is removable for rinsing and air drying after each wet-cleaning session. Do not tumble dry or use heat on any part of the filter or roller.
