Expandable 8-channel NVR with PoE connectivity:

The included NVR provides 8 PoE channels out of the box, expandable to 16 channels via a PoE switch, and accepts Ethernet cables carrying both power and data to each camera over a single run. The unit connects to a monitor or TV via HDMI for local viewing, and the system is also accessible via the eufy app on Android and iOS, or through a web browser on Windows and macOS. Alexa and Google Assistant voice control are supported for hands-free monitoring.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Run an Ethernet cable from each PoE Cam S4 to the NVR unit - a single cable per camera carries both power and data. Connect the NVR to a monitor or TV via the included HDMI cable for initial setup, then configure the system using the USB mouse. The eufy app on Android or iOS allows remote viewing once the NVR is connected to your router.

Storage and expansion:

The 2TB HDD is pre-installed and ready to record. When you need more capacity, the 3.5-inch drive bay accepts HDDs up to 16TB. To add more cameras beyond the four included, connect a PoE switch to the NVR to access up to 16 channels in total.

Camera placement:

Mount each PoE Cam S4 using the included bracket and screw pack. Fit the waterproof cover pack over the cable entry point at each camera location. Cameras are rated IP65 and operate down to −30°C, making them suitable for exposed outdoor positions.

Ongoing care:

Wipe camera lenses and housings with a dry, soft cloth to keep image quality sharp. Keep the NVR unit in a well-ventilated indoor space within its 0°C to 40°C operating range. Firmware updates can be applied via the eufy app or the web browser interface.
