Hetty Hoover - the Iconic Pink Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner for Irish Homes

Built to the same standard as Henry:

The Numatic Hetty HET200 is the pink counterpart of the Henry HVR200, with the same 620W motor and 9-litre capacity. Underneath the cheerful pink shell sits a high-efficiency 620W motor that produces 2300 mm H₂O of suction and an airflow of 48 litres per second, making it well capable on both hard floors and carpets. The two-stage TwinFlo motor includes a Hi-Lo power button so you can dial back suction on more delicate surfaces.

HepaFlo bags and TriTex filtration:

Hetty uses Numatic’s HepaFlo dust bags, which feature an innovative self-seal tab that locks dust inside the moment you remove the bag - no clouds of dust during disposal. The fitted TriTex filter works alongside the bags to capture 99.97% of dust and allergens down to 0.3 microns.

Big capacity, long reach:

The 9-litre drum means you can tackle a full house clean without stopping to change the bag. The 10m power cord gives a total cleaning range of 26.4m, reducing the number of times you need to move the plug between sockets.

Practical storage and accessories:

The HET200 comes with an AiroBrush turbo brush tool, a dedicated hard floor tool and a combi floor tool, covering the most common cleaning tasks in one kit. Wands and the floor tool clip neatly onto the body for on-board storage, keeping everything together between uses. The stainless steel two-piece wands and 2.2m hose give good reach for stairs, skirting boards and above-head surfaces.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Attach the hose to the inlet port on the front of the machine and connect the wands to the hose. Fit your chosen floor tool to the end of the wands. The on-board clips hold the spare tools and wands when not in use. Plug in and select Hi or Lo power using the button on top of the machine.

Emptying and replacing the bag:

When suction drops noticeably, open the top of the drum and lift out the HepaFlo bag. The self-seal tab closes automatically as you remove it, keeping dust contained. Fit a fresh HepaFlo NVM-1CH bag and close the drum lid firmly before continuing.

Cleaning the filter:

The TriTex filter sits inside the drum and can be removed, gently tapped out over a bin and wiped clean with a damp cloth. Allow the filter to dry fully before reinserting. Inspect the filter each time you change the bag and replace it if it shows signs of damage or heavy soiling.

Cord and storage:

Wind the cord loosely after each use to avoid kinks and hook it over the cord storage lugs on the body. Store Hetty upright in a dry location. Wipe the exterior with a lightly damp cloth as needed.
