Setup and Care

Getting started:

Use the included Water Hardness Test Kit before first use to set the correct water hardness level on the machine. Fill the 2-litre water tank and run a rinse cycle as described in the instruction manual. The Barista Assist Technology will prompt you through the initial grind and dose settings for your first brew.

Daily use:

Empty and rinse the drip tray and portafilter baskets after each session. The funnel, baskets, water tank and lid, bean hopper and drip tray are top-rack dishwasher safe for straightforward cleaning. Built-in accessory storage keeps the tamper, baskets and brush within reach on the worktop.

Descaling:

The machine displays a descale alert when a cleaning cycle is due. Use the included descaling powder or a Ninja-approved descaling solution and follow the step-by-step on-screen instructions. Regular descaling maintains brew temperature accuracy and extends the working life of the machine.

Grinder care:

Use the included Cleaning Brush to clear ground coffee residue from the grinder chute and burrs after use. The included Cleaning Disc can be used periodically with a Cleaning Tablet to flush oils and residue from the brew path. Avoid running the grinder empty for extended periods.
