Metallic Protection for Interior and Exterior Use:

Rustins Quick Dry Aluminium Paint applies a metallic aluminium finish to both wood and metal surfaces, indoors and out. Formulated with leafing-grade aluminium pigment, the particles align at the surface of the dried film to form a continuous metallic barrier, giving extra resistance to water and the elements. It is particularly well suited to exterior steelwork, gates, railings, gutters, pipes, and structural metalwork.

Quick Drying and Easy to Use:

The water-based formula is touch dry in approximately 2 hours and can be recoated after 2 hours under typical conditions, making it straightforward to complete a two-coat application in a single day. Clean-up requires water only - no solvents or white spirit needed. Apply evenly with a synthetic bristle brush for best results.

Versatile Surface Compatibility:

This paint can be applied directly to bare wood or bare metal without a separate primer, or over existing primers and solvent-based paints. For decorative metalwork, Rustins Red Oxide Primer can be used as an undercoat beforehand. The 250ml tin covers approximately 3 to 3.5 square metres per coat, with two coats recommended as standard and three coats advised for exterior surfaces. The paint is heat resistant up to 105°C, though it is not suitable for wood-burning stoves or surfaces in direct contact with a naked flame.
