Snickers Accessories

This is the personal protective equipment that goes with the clothing, and each item addresses a specific and cumulative risk. Knee pads matter most to anyone working on floors, roofs or in confined spaces, because kneeling damage builds slowly over years rather than showing up on one bad day. Two things separate a good pad from a cheap one: the material and where it sits. D3O is an impact-absorbing polymer that stays soft and flexible until struck, then stiffens instantly, which means it protects without being rigid to walk in. Pads designed to fit the knee pockets in workwear trousers stay put, where strap-on pads slide down the leg and get abandoned. Ear defenders are the item people skip and should not: hearing loss from tool noise is permanent and painless while it happens. Combination units pairing defenders with a face visor solve a real practical problem, since a separate visor and separate defenders interfere with each other, and mesh visors suit strimming and chainsaw work where a polycarbonate screen would fog. Gloves are chosen by task rather than by thickness, and a flexible duty glove keeps enough dexterity for fixings and small parts. A hammer holder keeps a tool on the belt and off the floor.

Snickers supplies the range. Knee protection covers the 9112 D3O Lite craftsmen kneepads and the 9110 craftsmen knee pads in yellow and black. Hearing and face protection covers the Hellberg Secure 2 with a nylon mesh visor and the Hellberg Secure 2 headband with a polycarbonate visor, both combining ear defenders and a visor in one unit. Also stocked are the 9305 Precision Flex duty gloves and a Flexi metal hammer holder. For clothing see Snickers Jackets and Snickers T-Shirts, and for the wider PPE range Protective Wear.
