The Apple AirTag 2nd Generation uses a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip to deliver Precision Finding from 1.5 times further away than the original model. When the AirTag is nearby, your iPhone guides you with exact distance and direction, making it straightforward to locate misplaced keys, bags, or other everyday items.

Louder speaker, stronger signal:

The built-in speaker is 50% louder than the first-generation AirTag and features a new, distinctive chime that is easier to hear across a room. The speaker housing has also been reinforced, making it more securely attached to the device.

Find My network and Lost Mode:

If an item goes out of Bluetooth range, the AirTag works silently and anonymously through the hundreds of millions of Apple devices that make up the Find My network to update its location. Lost Mode can be activated so that anyone who finds your AirTag can tap it with their NFC-enabled device and be directed to your contact details.

IP67 rated and easy to maintain:

The AirTag 2nd Generation carries an IP67 rating under IEC standard 60529, meaning it is tested to withstand immersion in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Pull the plastic tab to activate the pre-installed CR2032 battery, then hold the AirTag close to your iPhone. A setup prompt will appear on screen automatically, and the AirTag is registered to your Apple Account within moments.

Attaching to your items:

The AirTag is designed to fit into Apple-made accessories such as keyrings, loops, and luggage tags sold separately. Third-party holders and cases are also widely available in standard AirTag size. Attach securely before use to ensure the AirTag stays with the item you are tracking.

Battery replacement:

When the battery needs replacing, press down on the stainless steel back and rotate anticlockwise to open the battery compartment. Insert a standard CR2032 coin cell battery with the positive side facing up, then close by rotating clockwise until it clicks. CR2032 batteries are widely available at most hardware and convenience stores.

Care and cleaning:

Wipe the AirTag with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface. Although IP67 rated, the AirTag is not designed for continuous submersion and should not be used in high-velocity water such as a shower or tap.
