The VG249Q5A uses a Fast IPS panel measuring 23.8 inches with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, delivering a 200Hz refresh rate and a 0.3ms minimum response time (1ms GTG). Dual adaptive sync and motion clarity:

The monitor carries both AMD FreeSync Premium certification and G-SYNC Compatible support, allowing tear-free gameplay whether you are running an AMD or NVIDIA graphics card. ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) technology works alongside the 200Hz refresh rate to reduce ghosting during high-frame-rate sequences, and GameFast Input technology keeps input lag to a minimum.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Attach the stand base to the neck using the included L-shaped screwdriver, then connect your PC via the included DisplayPort cable or an HDMI cable. The monitor supports plug-and-play on Windows and should be detected automatically. Install DisplayWidget Center from the ASUS support site to access OSD settings and firmware updates from your desktop.

Optimising display settings:

Select your preferred GameVisual preset using the OSD or DisplayWidget Center to match the mode to your content  FPS mode for shooters, Racing mode for driving games, or sRGB for colour-accurate work. Enable ELMB via the OSD for reduced motion blur during fast-moving sequences; note that ELMB and adaptive sync (FreeSync/G-SYNC) cannot be active simultaneously.

Wall mounting:

The monitor is VESA 100 x 100 mm compatible. Remove the stand by pressing the release button on the rear of the neck, then attach a compatible VESA bracket. Use only VESA-rated mounting hardware appropriate for the monitor's 2.8 kg weight without stand.

Cleaning and care:

Power off and unplug the monitor before cleaning. Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to wipe the screen surface avoid abrasive cloths, alcohol-based cleaners, and spraying liquid directly onto the panel. Wipe the chassis with a dry cloth and ensure the ventilation area at the rear is kept clear to maintain normal operating temperatures.
