Setup and Care

Getting started:

Charge the laptop using the included 45W barrel-jack AC adapter before first use. Windows 11 Home guides you through the initial setup, including Microsoft account sign-in, language preferences, and Wi-Fi configuration. The MyASUS app is available post-setup for battery health settings, fan profile selection, and system diagnostics.

Keeping it charged efficiently:

Use the Battery Health Charging feature in MyASUS to limit charging to 80% for daily use, which extends long-term battery capacity. Fast charging to 60% takes approximately 49 minutes, making it practical to top up during a lunch break or between lectures.

Cleaning and surface care:

Wipe the exterior and keyboard area with a soft, slightly damp microfibre cloth. The ASUS Antimicrobial Guard Plus surface treatment on the keyboard and touchpad provides ongoing protection between cleans, but regular wiping is still recommended. Avoid abrasive cloths or liquid cleaners directly on the screen.

Storage and transport:

At 1.70 kg and 17.9 mm thin, the Vivobook 15 fits comfortably in most 15.6-inch laptop sleeves or padded rucksack compartments. The MIL-STD 810H certification provides reassurance against everyday knocks and environmental variation during transport, but a protective sleeve is still advisable for commuting.
