The PNP6B6K40 gives you a 3.0 kW high-speed burner for rapid boiling and searing, two 1.75 kW mid-range burners for everyday cooking, and a 1.0 kW economy burner for low simmering. All four ignite with a single hand using the integrated automatic ignition.

Safety gas cut-off as standard:

The built-in Flame Supervision Device monitors each burner continuously and automatically cuts off the gas supply if a flame is accidentally extinguished - whether by a draught, a boil-over, or any other cause. This is standard across all four burners, not just the main one.

Sword dials for precise heat control:

Bosch's front-mounted sword dials feature a raised centre that gives a secure grip and allows accurate, incremental heat adjustments. All four controls are positioned along the front edge for easy reach without leaning over hot cookware.

Easy-clean glass surface with dishwasher-safe supports:

The black tempered glass surface wipes down quickly between uses. The cast iron pan supports are semi-continuous, meaning you can slide pots from burner to burner without lifting, and all supports are dishwasher-safe and corrosion-resistant for long-term durability.

Setup and Care

Installation:

The PNP6B6K40 requires a 560-562 mm wide, 480-492 mm deep cutout and a minimum worktop thickness of 20 mm (30 mm for flush fitting). Electrical connection is via hard-wiring to a fused spur - no plug is supplied. Gas connection and electrical installation must be carried out by a registered professional.

Gas conversion:

The hob arrives pre-configured for natural gas. The included nozzle set allows conversion to LPG (G30/31) if required. Conversion must be carried out by a qualified gas engineer in line with current Gas Networks Ireland regulations.

Cleaning the surface:

The tempered glass surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild non-abrasive cleaner once cooled. Avoid harsh scourers or bleach-based products, which can mark the glass over time.

Caring for pan supports:

The cast iron pan supports are dishwasher-safe and designed to resist corrosion and discolouring under regular washing conditions. For best results, dry them promptly after the dishwasher cycle completes to prevent surface moisture marks.
