The Bosch PXV831HC1E gives you five induction cooking zones across an 80 cm ceramic glass surface, including a FlexInduction zone that bridges two adjacent zones into a single large cooking area. This makes it straightforward to use oversized pans, fish kettles, or roasting dishes without repositioning or adjusting heat manually.
Straightforward Control with DirectSelect:
DirectSelect puts zone selection, power level, and additional functions within a single, clear touch interface. You can choose from 17 power levels per zone, activate Boost for rapid heat-up, hold food at temperature with Keep Warm, or pause all zones simultaneously using the Pause function.
PerfectFry Plus for Precise Frying:
The PerfectFry Plus sensor monitors pan temperature continuously and adjusts the heat to prevent scorching. Eleven temperature settings run from 70°C up to 220°C, giving you reliable control whether you are rendering, sautéing, or searing. Once set, the hob maintains the selected temperature without you needing to watch the pan.
Connected Cooking with Home Connect:
The PXV831HC1E is Home Connect compatible, allowing it to communicate wirelessly with a paired Bosch extractor hood via the Smart Hood Automatic function. When you adjust the hob settings, the hood fan speed responds automatically. You can also configure a Favourite button through the Home Connect app for direct access to your most-used settings.
Safety and Installation:
Built-in safety features include a childproof lock, automatic pan recognition, a 2-stage residual heat indicator for each zone, and a safety time switch-off. The hob is supplied with a 110 cm electrical cable without a plug and requires hardwired installation to a dedicated 32-amp circuit by a qualified electrician. Minimum worktop thickness for installation is 16 mm, with a cut-out of 750 mm wide by 490 mm deep required.

Setup and Care
Installation:
This hob requires a cut-out of 750 mm wide by 490 mm deep in a worktop of at least 16 mm thickness. Connection to a dedicated 32-amp hardwired circuit must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The 110 cm supply cable is included.
First Use:
Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth before first use. The DirectSelect interface will guide you through zone selection and power level adjustment from the first cook. Home Connect setup is completed through the free Home Connect app on a compatible smartphone.
Everyday Cleaning:
The flat ceramic glass surface wipes clean with a damp cloth or specialist ceramic hob cleaner after each use. Activate the childproof lock before cleaning to avoid inadvertently changing settings. A ceramic hob scraper is recommended for any stubborn residue.
Cookware Compatibility:
Use only cookware with a flat, magnetic base suitable for induction cooking. The pan recognition function will confirm zone activation when compatible cookware is detected. Avoid cast iron cookware with rough bases that may scratch the ceramic glass.
