AirLock tool connection for on-tool dust extraction:

The AirLock system lets you attach the DCV584L directly and securely to compatible DeWalt power tools - saws, sanders, drills, and grinders - so dust is captured at the source rather than settling on surfaces. This is particularly useful when working with materials that generate fine particulate, where containing dust at the point of production is both cleaner and safer.

L-Class filtration for fine dust and wet pick-up:

The washable HEPA-grade L-Class filter captures 99.97% of particles as fine as 0.3 microns and does not need to be removed or replaced when switching between dry dust and liquid pick-up. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Insert a compatible 14.4V, 18V XR, or 18V/54V FLEXVOLT battery pack, or connect the 3-metre mains cable to a 230V supply. Attach the 2-metre hose and fit your chosen nozzle before switching on.

Switching between wet and dry use:

The L-Class HEPA filter can remain in place for both wet and dry vacuuming - there is no need to swap or remove it when changing task types. Monitor the water level indicator during liquid pick-up and empty the 7.5-litre tank before it reaches capacity.

Connecting to power tools via AirLock:

To use the DCV584L as a dust extractor, align the AirLock connector on the hose with the AirLock port on a compatible DeWalt tool and rotate to lock. The vacuum activates in line with the tool for continuous dust capture at the source.

Filter maintenance:

The L-Class filter is washable and reusable. Remove it from the tank, tap out loose dust, then rinse under clean water and allow to dry fully before reinserting. Do not refit the filter while damp, as this will affect suction performance and filtration efficiency.
