Dulux Easycare Disney Little Mermaid Matt Wall Paint in Lavender Shell

A tough, washable matt for busy rooms:

Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough in Lavender Shell is a Disney The Little Mermaid licensed colourway designed for walls and ceilings in children's bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, and dining rooms. The matt finish delivers a uniform, flat result that works across a wide range of interior spaces, and the 2.5L tin covers up to 32.5 m² across two coats.

Stain Repellent Technology:

This paint is formulated with Dulux's Stain Repellent Technology, which repels liquid spills by turning them into beads, making them straightforward to wipe away without damaging the surface beneath. Independent testing confirms the Easycare Washable and Tough formula is 20 times tougher than standard Dulux Matt, and it achieves Class 1 scrub resistance, meaning stubborn marks from busy households and children's rooms can be removed by washing without affecting the finish.

Quick-drying, low-preparation formula:

The water-based emulsion dries in 4 hours and can be recoated after 2-4 hours, so two coats can be applied in a single day. No primer is required before application, and the paint can be applied by brush or roller. The formulation is produced using renewable materials in the manufacturing process, giving it a reduced carbon footprint compared with the same paint produced using 100% fossil-based materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this paint tough enough to handle scrubbing and everyday marks in a busy home?

Yes, and by a significant margin. Dulux's Stain Repellent Technology causes liquid spills to bead on the surface so they can be wiped away without damaging the paint beneath. The formula is 20 times tougher than standard Dulux Matt and achieves Class 1 scrub resistance, meaning stubborn marks can be washed off repeatedly without affecting the finish. It is designed for busy households and children's rooms.

Do I need to apply a primer first?

No primer is required - the paint can be applied straight to walls and ceilings with a brush or roller. Two coats are recommended, and the formula can be recoated after just 2 to 4 hours, making it practical to complete both coats in a single day. The 2.5L tin covers up to 32.5 m² across those two coats, which works out at up to 13 m² per litre.

How much wall and ceiling area will a 2.5L tin cover?

A single 2.5L tin covers up to 32.5 m² across two coats, at a rate of up to 13 m² per litre. Two coats are recommended for a uniform matt finish. For reference, that is roughly enough for the walls of a medium-sized child's bedroom in two full coats, with the lavender Shell colourway designed for walls and ceilings.

Is this an officially licensed Disney The Little Mermaid paint?

Yes. Lavender Shell is an officially licensed Disney The Little Mermaid colourway, making it a co-branded product rather than a generic tint. The paint itself is produced using renewable materials in the manufacturing process, giving it a reduced carbon footprint compared with the same formula made using 100% fossil-based materials. The model code for this specific variant is 9072048.
