Whole-machine HEPA H13 filtration:

The Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 is fully sealed to HEPA H13 grade across the entire machine, not just the filter, so what goes inside stays inside. It captures 99.97% of microscopic allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, pet dander, and dust mite debris. The 360° Combi Glass HEPA and activated carbon filter also captures 97% of household odours such as cooking smells, pet odours, and smoke.

Air Multiplier technology and auto mode:

Air Multiplier™ technology projects over 290 litres per second of airflow, drawing air through the machine and amplifying it up to 15 times. In auto mode, built-in sensors continuously monitor PM2.5 and PM10 particulate levels and adjust fan speed automatically, running only when needed. Dyson estimates that most users purifying in auto mode spend an average of 5p per day on energy.

Smart control and quiet night use:

The MyDyson™ app connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to show real-time and historical air quality readings, set schedules, and control the machine remotely. Night mode uses the quietest fan settings and dims the LCD display to avoid disturbance, and the sleep timer can be set anywhere from 15 minutes to 9 hours. The PC1 is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri for hands-free control.

Coverage, noise, and design:

The PC1 covers rooms up to 27 square metres, with 350° oscillation to distribute purified air across the space. Maximum noise output is 61.4 dB, and at minimum fan speed the unit operates as quietly as 25 dB. At 4.72 kg and with a footprint of approximately 220 mm x 220 mm, it is compact enough for a bedroom, home office, or living room corner without taking up significant floor space.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

The PC1 arrives largely assembled and is ready to use once the filter is inserted and the machine is plugged in. Download the MyDyson™ app and follow the in-app setup steps to connect via Bluetooth and then Wi-Fi for full smart control and air quality monitoring.

Placement advice:

Position the unit on a flat, stable surface with clearance on all sides to allow free airflow into the base. The 350° oscillation mode works best when the unit is placed towards the centre of the room or away from walls, allowing purified air to circulate evenly.

Filter care and replacement:

The filter does not require washing or cleaning. When the machine notifies you that the filter life is low, replace the 360° Combi Glass HEPA and Carbon Filter - typically around every 12 months depending on usage and local air quality. Replacement filters are available separately from Dyson and authorised retailers.

General care:

Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to keep the machine clean. Avoid using detergents or abrasive materials on any part of the unit. Store the remote control on top of the machine using the built-in magnetic mount when not in use.
