The central drawbridge sections raise and lower using a ratchet-action joint built from Brick Special 1x2 with Rotation Joint Pin and Brick Special 1x2x1⅓ with Rotation Joint Socket components. This allows the bridge deck to hold any raised position without slipping, so you can display the model open or closed. It is one of the key structural details that distinguishes this set from a static replica.

Printed tiles, no stickers:

All window and architectural detailing is rendered through printed tiles rather than stickers. The set includes 44 printed Tile 1x2 pieces with twin arched windows, 16 Tile 2x2 pieces with triple arched windows, and a black Tile 1x8 Tower Bridge nameplate, among others.
