Setup and Care

Getting started:

Extend the telescopic antenna fully before tuning to improve reception. Charge the internal battery via USB-C™ before first use to ensure the 2000mAh cell is at full capacity. The Hand Crank Dynamo can be used at any time as a top-up source.

Charging best practice:

For solar charging, position the panel facing a bright light source - a south-facing windowsill works well indoors. Crank charging is most effective at a steady, moderate pace rather than very fast spinning. Keep the USB-C™ cable stored with the unit so it is always to hand.

Using the Powerbank function:

Connect your phone or device to the USB output to draw power from the internal 2000mAh battery. Bear in mind that using the Powerbank function will reduce the remaining radio and torch play time, so use it for short emergency top-ups rather than full phone charges.

Storage and general care:

Store in a dry location away from prolonged direct sunlight to protect the battery and plastic casing. Wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth - avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners. Check and partially charge the battery every few months if the unit is kept in an emergency kit for extended periods.
