The T56FHS1L0 uses NEFF's Twist Touch interface, where a rotating touch ring on the ceramic glass surface lets you dial through 17 power levels per zone - nine main levels plus eight intermediate steps. QuickStart recalls the last-used setting on any zone the moment you place a pan, and ReStart returns the hob to its previous configuration after an interruption. A residual heat indicator on each zone stays visible until the surface is safe to touch.

Combi Induction for larger cookware:

The left-hand pair of zones can be merged via the Combi Induction function, creating one extended cooking area suited to roasting pans, fish kettles, or griddle plates that span more than a single burner. Pan sensors detect cookware shape and size automatically, directing heat only where it is needed. Each zone also has PowerBoost available, which delivers up to 50% additional power for rapid boiling - the left rear and left front zones each reach 3.7 kW on boost.

Home Connect smart control and hood integration:

The hob connects to BSH Group's Home Connect platform via Wi-Fi, allowing remote monitoring and control through the Home Connect app on iOS or Android. The Favourites Button lets you save preferred power settings for regular tasks, and if you have a compatible NEFF extractor hood, Smart Hood Automatic adjusts the hood's fan speed in response to the hob's output - controllable directly from the hob panel via Hob-based Hood Control. The Stop and Go function pauses all zones simultaneously and holds their settings until you are ready to resume.

Setup and Care

Installation:

The T56FHS1L0 requires hard-wired electrical connection by a qualified electrician. Cut-out dimensions are 560 mm wide by 490-500 mm deep, with a minimum worktop thickness of 16 mm. The 1.1 m cord routes neatly to a suitable connection point beneath the worktop.

First use:

Before cooking, wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth to remove any residue from manufacture. Use the Home Connect app to register the hob and configure your Wi-Fi connection, enabling remote control and the Favourites Button setup.

Everyday cleaning:

The frameless glass surface wipes clean with a damp cloth or ceramic hob cleaner once the residual heat indicator has cleared. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh solvents, which can mark the glass finish.

Cookware compatibility:

Induction cooking requires magnetic-base cookware. Check compatibility by placing a fridge magnet on the base of your pans - a firm hold confirms suitability. The Combi Induction function works best with flat-based pans that extend across both merged zones evenly.
