Built-in extraction at the source:

The V58NHQ4L0 draws steam and cooking odours downward through the hob itself, removing the need for a wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted cooker hood entirely. Maximum extraction reaches 500 m³/hour, rising to 622 m³/hour on intensive mode, while the high-performance BLDC technology motor keeps noise to a minimum of 42 dB at its quietest setting and 69 dB at maximum.

Four induction zones with FlexInduction CombiZone:

Each of the four cooking zones delivers up to 2.5 kW standard power with a PowerBoost setting raising individual zones to 3.7 kW for rapid heating. The left and right zone pairs can be merged into CombiZones using FlexInduction, creating a single large cooking area that accommodates oval roasting dishes, griddle pans, or fish kettles without repositioning.

Twist Touch controls and 17-stage power settings:

Each zone is adjusted using the Twist Touch interface - select the zone by touch, then rotate to set power across 17 levels. QuickStart activates the hob in a single action, while ReStart recalls the last-used power setting for any zone. The automatic pan recognition function detects whether suitable cookware is present before activating a zone, and the child lock prevents accidental changes during cooking.

Ventilation that works automatically:

The integrated fan activates automatically when a cooking zone is switched on and enters a delayed shut-off cycle once cooking finishes - running for 12 minutes in ducted extraction mode or 30 minutes in recirculating mode to clear residual steam and odours. The large-scale stainless-steel grease filters incorporate 12 filtration layers and achieve a grease filtration efficiency of 94%. A Clean Air Plus odour filter is included in the box for recirculating installations.

Smart home connectivity via Home Connect:

The V58NHQ4L0 connects to the Home Connect app over Wi-Fi, allowing remote monitoring and control from a smartphone or tablet. The hob ships configured for recirculating use as standard and can be converted to externally ducted extraction with the appropriate ducting kit, purchased separately.

Setup and Care

Installation requirements:

The V58NHQ4L0 requires a dedicated 32-amp cooker circuit and must be hardwired by a qualified electrician. The cutout dimensions are 223 x 750 x 490 mm (H x W x D) and the worktop must be at least 16 mm thick. This hob cannot be installed directly above a built-in oven - allow for an alternative cabinet arrangement when planning your kitchen layout.

Ducting and recirculation:

The hob ships ready for recirculating use with the included slider and Clean Air Plus odour filter. For externally ducted extraction, a separate ducting kit is required and should be fitted at the time of installation. The Home Connect app can be used to register the appliance and access guided setup steps.

Cleaning the grease filters:

The integrated stainless-steel grease filters are dishwasher-safe and should be cleaned regularly to maintain extraction efficiency. The ceramic glass hob surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth or a dedicated hob scraper and cleaner once it has cooled. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh solvents on the glass or the filter surfaces.

Replacing the odour filter:

The Clean Air Plus odour filter is used in recirculating mode and should be replaced periodically according to the frequency of use - Neff recommends checking the filter condition every three to six months. Replacement filters are available as a Neff-branded accessory. In ducted extraction mode, the odour filter is not required.
