AutoBarista Technology takes care of every step from bean to cup. Grind iQ Technology selects from 50 grind size settings and weighs the dose automatically, while an integrated tamper forms the puck without any manual input. Calibrated Brewing Technology then adjusts temperature and pressure to draw a balanced extraction every time.

Ten drink styles, three brewing formats:

The AE1001UK covers espresso (single, double, triple), Americano (single, double, triple), latte, cappuccino, flat white, filter coffee, over ice, cold brew, cold pressed (single, double, triple), and froth only - ten programmes in total. Filter coffee volumes run from 175 ml up to 530 ml, giving flexibility for a single mug or a larger serving. This breadth of brewing formats makes it a practical everyday machine rather than an espresso-only appliance.

Hands-free milk frothing for dairy and plant-based alternatives:

FrothPerfect Technology automates whisking and steaming through four presets: Steamed Milk, Thin Froth, Thick Froth, and Cold Foam. The 250 ml froth jug is included in the box. The steam wand is self-purging, which reduces the effort needed to keep it clean between drinks.

Personalised to two users:

Two user profiles can each store preferred brew strength, drink size, temperature, milk type, and froth style. The Brew Two Function pulls two espresso shots simultaneously, useful when making drinks for two people at the same time. Strength is adjustable across five settings for both coffee and espresso independently.

Straightforward to maintain:

Removable parts are dishwasher-safe and the machine includes a rinsing programme, a cleaning programme, and a descaling programme. Two cleaning tablets and a descaler are included in the box alongside two water filters. The water tank holds 2.1 litres and is removable for easy refilling.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the 2.1-litre water tank and fit one of the included water filters before first use. Load whole beans into the 250g hopper, select your drink, and AutoBarista Technology handles grinding, weighing, tamping, and brewing automatically. The LED display guides you through first-time setup clearly.

Daily maintenance:

The steam wand self-purges after each use, and the machine prompts an auto rinse cycle as needed. Removable parts including the drip tray, water tank, and froth jug are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning at the end of the day.

Deep cleaning:

Use the built-in cleaning programme with one of the included cleaning tablets when the machine prompts you. Two cleaning tablets and a descaler are provided in the box to cover the first cycles. The machine also has a dedicated descaling programme that guides you step by step.

Water filter care:

Two water filters are included. Replace the filter at the interval recommended in the instruction booklet to maintain flavour quality and protect the internal components. Replacement filters are available separately.
