The Rawlplug RT-HSSC-100 is a 10mm cobalt drill bit manufactured from HSS M35 high-speed steel containing 5% cobalt. The cobalt content increases hardness and heat resistance compared to standard HSS, making the bit well suited to drilling stainless steel, structural steel, metal sheet and profiles, and non-ferrous metals. The overall length of 133mm keeps the bit rigid and steady through the cut.
SPLIT POINT geometry for accurate starts:
The 135-degree SPLIT POINT tip uses a double-sided geometry that centres itself on the workpiece without needing a centre punch. This reduces lateral pressure during drilling and minimises wandering, which is particularly useful when starting a hole in smooth or curved metal surfaces. The ground spiral complements the tip by channelling swarf away cleanly and supporting a precise bore through the full depth of the cut.
