The Rawlplug RT-HSSP-120 is manufactured to DIN 338, the international standard that ensures consistent dimensions and parameters across the entire range. At 12mm in diameter and 151mm in total length, this ground HSS steel bit is suited to workshop and trade use where repeatable, accurate results in metal are required.
SPLIT POINT geometry for clean, accurate entry:
The double-sided SPLIT POINT tip centres the bit on the material immediately, reducing the need for a centre punch and minimising lateral movement during entry. This geometry also reduces the pressure needed to start the cut, which helps protect both the workpiece surface and the bit itself.
135° point angle and ground spiral for hard materials:
The 135° point angle is optimised for drilling into hard steel, where a shallower angle would deflect or wear prematurely. The ground spiral contributes to a cleaner, more precise hole, making the bit appropriate for structural steel, metal sheet and profiles, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals alike.
