At 1.5mm diameter and 40mm total length, it is the smallest standard size in the Rawlplug RT-HSSP ground HSS drill bit family and suits close-tolerance work in metal fabrication, engineering, and site joinery.
SPLIT POINT geometry for accurate results:
The 135° point angle and SPLIT POINT double-sided geometry allow the bit to centre itself on the workpiece without wandering, reducing the need for a centre punch on most materials. This design also lowers the drilling pressure required, which helps maintain control and reduces the risk of snapping a small-diameter bit during use.
Ground spiral for clean hole quality:
The ground spiral construction removes material evenly and leaves a cleaner hole edge compared to rolled HSS bits of equivalent diameter. The high-speed steel composition provides the hardness and heat resistance needed when drilling structural steel, metal sheet and profiles, aluminium, and other non-ferrous metals at typical drill speeds.
