Rawlplug Ground HSS Drill Bits for Metal, Aluminium and Non-Ferrous Materials
Built from high-quality HSS steel:
Each drill bit in this 3-pack is made from high-quality HSS (High Speed Steel), giving it the durability needed for repeated use in tough substrates including carbon steel, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals. Ground construction - rather than milled or rolled - produces a more precise cutting edge, which translates to cleaner, more accurate holes.
SPLIT POINT tip for accurate centring:
The 135-degree point angle features Rawlplug's double-sided SPLIT POINT geometry, which centres the bit on contact and reduces the pressure required to start drilling. This helps prevent the bit from wandering when starting a hole in smooth metal, giving cleaner results without the need for a centre punch in many applications.
DIN 338 standard for consistent sizing:
These drill bits are manufactured to DIN 338, the internationally recognised standard for jobber-length twist drill bits. This ensures the 2mm diameter and 49mm length are held to consistent tolerances across the pack, so every bit performs to the same specification. The ground spiral further supports straight, precise drilling throughout the depth of the hole.
