Rawlplug Impactor Masonry Drill Bit for Concrete and Brick

Carbide tip built for masonry work:

The Rawlplug Impactor RT-IMP-060-100 is a 6mm x 100mm cylindrical masonry drill bit with a specially sharpened carbide plate designed for quick, accurate drilling into concrete, solid brick, and hollow brick. The carbide tip is seated very deeply into the drill core, which strengthens the bond between tip and body and contributes to a consistently round, clean hole.

Efficient performance with cordless and impact drills:

The Impactor's carbide geometry is engineered to reduce battery consumption by 20% when drilling with a hammer cordless drill compared to standard masonry bits - a meaningful benefit when working through a session of fixings on site or at home. The bit is fully compatible with both impact drills and standard cordless drills fitted with a round-shank chuck.

Heat treated steel and independent quality certification:

The steel body is heat treated to 52 HRC, increasing hardness and resistance to wear during repeated drilling. Quality, cylindricity, and axial alignment of drilled holes are confirmed by the international SicherSafe certificate, giving confidence that each hole is straight, round, and the correct diameter - important for wall plugs and fixings to seat correctly.

Why Shop With Us?

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this masonry drill bit fit a standard cordless drill or does it need a special chuck?

This bit has a round shank and fits any standard rotary drill chuck with no adapter required. It is compatible with both impact drills and cordless drills, so it works with the tools most people already own. The Rawlplug Impactor IMP-060-100 is not an SDS shank bit and does not require an SDS chuck.

Does this masonry drill bit actually save battery?

It reduces battery drain by 20% compared to standard masonry bits when used with a hammer cordless drill. The saving comes from the specially sharpened carbide plate geometry, which cuts through masonry more efficiently so the drill works less hard. That difference is noticeable across a session of fixings on site or at home.

What is the SicherSafe certification, and does it affect whether wall plugs will seat properly?

SicherSafe is an international certification that confirms the cylindricity and axial alignment of drilled holes. In plain terms, it means each hole drills straight, round, and to the correct diameter. That consistency matters for wall plugs and fixings, which need a true, evenly sized hole to grip securely rather than sitting loose in an irregular one.

What materials can this bit drill into?

One drill bit is included, supplied in a plastic box with no other accessories. It drills into concrete, solid brick, and hollow brick. The carbide tip is deeply seated into the steel core, which strengthens the bond between tip and body and contributes to clean, round holes in all three substrates.
