The Rawlplug RT-FLWD-140-152 is a 14mm diameter spade flat wood drill bit designed for drilling large-diameter holes in wood, chipboard, oriented strand board (OSB), and structural timber. At 152mm in length, it gives good reach for deeper applications without the need for an extension bar in most standard situations.
Centering point and optimised geometry for clean starts:
A centering point at the tip allows the bit to locate accurately on the workpiece before drilling begins, preventing the common problem of the bit skating across the surface. The geometry of the drill bit, combined with rounded cutting surfaces, is shaped to allow fast material removal, reducing effort on the drill or impact driver.
Reinforced shank for use with impact drivers:
The 1/4" (6.35mm) hex grip shank is reinforced to handle the torsional forces produced by impact drivers, making it compatible with most impact drivers available on the market as well as standard corded and cordless drills. The hardened alloy steel construction throughout the bit ensures durability across repeated use on site or in the workshop.
