Rawlplug 22mm Spade Drill Bit for Wood, Chipboard and Timber
Built for large-bore work in timber and wood-based boards:
The Rawlplug RT-FLWD-220-152 is a 22mm spade drill bit designed to cut fast, clean holes through wood, chipboard, oriented strand board and solid timber. Its centring point locates accurately on the surface before the cutting edges engage, so the bit starts without slipping even when drilling freehand.
Alloy steel construction with a reinforced shank:
The bit is made from high-quality hardened alloy steel, giving it the torsional strength to hold up under repeated use in dense materials. The reinforced shank resists twisting under load, which is particularly useful when driving the bit with a cordless impact driver on chipboard or engineered timber.
Compatible with most cordless impact drivers:
The 1/4" (6.35mm) hex grip fits directly into the quick-release chuck of most cordless impact drivers available on the market, so there is no need for an adaptor in the majority of setups. The rounded cutting surfaces and optimised geometry of the bit allow fast material removal, keeping work moving on site or in the workshop.
