Traditional style with genuine heat:

The Sahara Provence is a flueless 3.4 kW portable gas heater built around a solid cast iron body in a Rustic Brown finish. It runs on standard 7 kg or 15 kg butane cylinders - no flue, no chimney, and no permanent installation required. A gas hose and regulator are included in the box.

Real flame log effect:

The Provence produces a variable log-effect real flame, giving it the look and feel of a traditional stove. This makes it well suited to conservatories, living rooms, and kitchens where both warmth and atmosphere matter. The cast iron body retains its traditional aesthetic across a range of home settings.

Zone heating to reduce central heating costs:

Rather than heating an entire house, the Provence lets you warm one room directly - a practical approach to reducing reliance on central heating during colder months. Output is variable, so you can dial the heat up or down to suit the room. With a full 15 kg butane cylinder, approximate burn time is 106 hours.

Safety as standard:

The Provence is fitted with an Oxygen Depletion System (ODS), which monitors atmospheric oxygen levels and automatically cuts off the gas supply if CO₂ rises above 1.5%. A flame failure device is also fitted, cutting gas flow if the flame goes out unexpectedly. Four castor wheels allow the unit to be moved between rooms without lifting. Note that this heater is not suitable for use in bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, basements, private garages, boats, or leisure vehicles.

Setup and Care

Positioning the heater:

Place the Provence on a firm, level surface in a well-ventilated room. The four castor wheels make it straightforward to move between rooms. Suitable locations include living rooms, conservatories, kitchens, and cabins.

Connecting the gas supply:

Attach the included 21 mm hose and regulator to a 7 kg or 15 kg butane cylinder. Ensure all connections are secure before igniting. The electronic push-button ignition starts the flame without the need for matches or a lighter.

Adjusting the heat:

Use the variable control to set the heat output to a level that suits the room. The Oxygen Depletion System and flame failure device operate automatically in the background, requiring no adjustment from the user.

General care:

Wipe the cast iron body with a dry cloth when the unit is fully cool and the gas supply is disconnected. Store upright in a dry location. Have the hose and regulator inspected periodically for wear and replace if any cracking or damage is found.
