Sahara Provence Hybrid Portable Gas Heater with Fan-Assisted Heat and Electric Boost

Dual-mode heat for any room:

The Sahara Provence Hybrid runs on butane gas, mains electricity, or both at the same time, giving a combined output of 6kW when both modes are active. The gas burner alone delivers 3.4kW, while the electric element adds additional heat on demand, making it straightforward to tailor output to the room. Both modes operate fully independently, so you can run whichever suits the occasion.

No flue, no installation, no mains gas:

This is a flueless heater, meaning there is no requirement for a chimney, flue pipe, or mains gas connection. The Provence Hybrid runs on a standard butane cylinder, with gas hose and regulator supplied in the box. Four castor wheels are fitted to the unit, allowing it to be moved between rooms without effort.

Fan-Assisted Heat and reliable ignition:

The built-in fan circulates warm air around the room more efficiently than a passive radiant heater, helping the space reach a comfortable temperature more quickly. Electronic ignition means the gas burner lights at the press of a button, without the need for a match or lighter. Variable heat controls allow the output to be adjusted on both the gas and electric functions.

Traditional style with practical safety features:

The Provence Hybrid is built around a cast iron body with a traditional stove aesthetic, available in a range of finishes including black. The high-grade stainless steel burner sits at the centre of the design. A safety oxygen depletion cut-off device is fitted as standard, shutting the gas supply automatically if oxygen levels in the room drop below a safe threshold.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

The Provence Hybrid arrives with 4 castor wheels already fitted and requires no assembly. Connect the supplied gas hose and regulator to a standard butane cylinder, position the unit in a well-ventilated room, and use the electronic ignition to light the burner. The electric element connects to a standard mains socket.

Ventilation and placement:

As a flueless gas heater, the Provence Hybrid should always be used in a well-ventilated room with a window or door slightly open to maintain adequate fresh air circulation. Keep the unit on a firm, level surface clear of curtains, furniture, and other combustibles. The safety oxygen depletion cut-off device will shut down the gas supply automatically if ventilation falls below a safe level.

Routine care:

Wipe the exterior with a dry or lightly damp cloth when the unit is fully cool and disconnected from both gas and mains supplies. Check the gas hose and connections regularly for signs of wear or damage, and replace if needed. Store the heater in a dry location during warmer months, with the gas cylinder disconnected and stored separately in a well-ventilated outdoor area.

Long-term use:

Always ensure the gas cylinder valve is fully closed and the electric element switched off at the socket when the heater is not in use. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for guidance on burner maintenance and any periodic servicing recommendations.
