CoandaBoost curling with no heat clamps:

The Shark FlexStyle IonCurl HD840UKPU uses CoandaBoost Technology to automatically wrap hair around the 32mm barrel using airflow alone, producing bouncier, more defined curls than the original FlexStyle. Because there are no heated clamps or plates clamping the hair, this curling method avoids the direct surface heat that traditional tongs deliver. Two 32mm Coanda Curlers are included, one for each direction of curl.

Ion Smooth Technology for frizz control:

As you dry and style, the IonCurl releases 200 million negative ions through Ion Smooth Technology, helping to cancel out the static charge that causes flyaway and frizz. Results with the FrizzFighter High Shine Polisher attachment are claimed at up to 24 hours of shine compared to air-dried hair. This is the first FlexStyle model to include ionic technology built into the body of the styler.

Scalp Shield Mode and HeatSense temperature monitoring:

Scalp Shield Mode activates automatically to reduce temperatures when drying hair close to the scalp, helping to protect new or delicate hair growth from excessive heat. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Attach your chosen styling head by aligning it with the barrel and rotating until it clicks securely into place. The IonCurl can be used on damp or dry hair depending on the attachment and the look you are creating. Start with the Styling Concentrator for drying before switching to a curling or finishing attachment.

Using the Coanda Curlers:

Section hair into manageable portions before bringing the barrel close to a section - CoandaBoost Technology will draw the hair around the barrel automatically. Hold for a few seconds, then use the AirSet Button to cool and set the curl before releasing. Alternate curlers between sessions to prevent tangling and even wear.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Remove attachments after each use and wipe the barrel and body with a soft, dry cloth. Check the air inlet regularly and remove any hair or dust build-up to maintain full airflow. Store all attachments in the included storage bag to keep them clean and protected between uses.

Safe use:

Allow the styler and attachments to cool fully before storing or handling the barrel end. Keep the cord clear of the airflow to prevent tangling during use. Store in a cool, dry location away from water sources.
