The Shark PowerDetect Speed uses PowerDetect Intelligence to automatically detect hidden dirt, floor type, edges and corners, and the direction you are cleaning, then boosts suction power accordingly. Four detect technologies work together: Dirt Detect, Floor Detect, Edge Detect, and Direction Detect.

Picks up on the return stroke too:

Direction Detect identifies when you reverse your cleaning stroke and automatically increases suction to pick up debris on the way back. Combined with the Reveal Technology beam — a precision-angled cyan light that exposes invisible dust and debris on hard floors — you cover more ground with fewer passes and can clearly see what you are cleaning up before and after.

Up to 60 minutes on a single charge:

In Eco mode with a non-motorised tool, the IA1241UK runs for up to 60 minutes — enough to work through a full house clean without stopping to recharge. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Attach the battery and charge fully via the charging base before first use — a full charge takes approximately 300 minutes. Mount the charging base to a wall using the included wall mount for a tidy storage solution, or use it freestanding. Register your product at www.sharkclean.co.uk/register-guarantee to activate your 5-year manufacturer guarantee.

Emptying the dust cup:

The 0.47 L dust cup is bagless and designed for quick, hygienic emptying — press the release button, hold the cup over a bin, and the base opens to drop the contents. Empty regularly to maintain suction performance at its best.

Filter care:

The HEPA filter is washable — rinse under cold running water and allow to dry fully (at least 24 hours) before reinserting. A clean, dry filter keeps filtration performance at its rated level and extends the life of the motor.

Storage:

Use the Flexology bend to fold the wand and store the vacuum in a smaller footprint than a fully extended stick vacuum. The wall-mount charging base keeps it off the floor and ready to use between cleans.
