The LX5000UKT uses Shark's PowerTrio System to transform between a full-size upright for heavy-duty cleaning, a lighter corded stick for quick passes, and a detachable corded handheld for stairs, upholstery, and hard-to-reach spots. Setup and Care

Getting started:

The LX5000UKT arrives largely assembled and is ready to use once the handle is clicked into position and the cord is plugged into a standard 220-240 V mains socket. Attach your chosen accessory tool to the wand before starting, and select the appropriate floor mode using the controls on the body - or leave the vacuum in Detect Mode to allow DuoClean Detect to adjust automatically.

Converting between modes:

To switch to stick mode, release the pod from the main body and use it independently with the wand attached for lighter cleaning tasks. For handheld use, detach the wand to use the pod on its own. When you reconnect the pod to the upright body, the Auto-Empty function transfers the pod's dust cup contents automatically into the main bin without opening the cup manually.

Emptying and filter care:

Empty the 1.3-litre dust cup when the debris level reaches the max fill line by pressing the release button over a bin and allowing the contents to drop out cleanly. The HEPA filter should be rinsed with cold water every month and allowed to dry fully for at least 24 hours before reinsertion - never replace a damp filter. Check the Anti-Odour Technology cartridge periodically and replace it as needed; replacement cartridges are available separately.

Brushroll maintenance:

Anti Hair Wrap technology removes most hair from the brushroll during operation, keeping performance consistent between sessions. If any debris builds up around the brushroll ends, switch the vacuum off, unplug it, and clear the ends before continuing. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth to keep the Chimera Blue finish looking its best.
