Built-in mould and mildew protection:

Zinsser PermaWhite® Interior Matt contains a surface biocide that protects the dried paint film from mould and mildew growth for a guaranteed minimum of 5 years. The active ingredient - 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (0.12% by weight) - also inhibits the growth of odour-causing microbes on the painted surface. Two coats are recommended for full protection.

Self-priming on most interior surfaces:

PermaWhite® Interior Matt bonds directly to new or previously painted drywall, cured plaster, cement, concrete block, ceramic tiles, and laminates without the need for sanding or a separate primer coat. It also adheres to existing solvent-based or gloss-painted surfaces, making it suitable for repainting problem areas without lengthy preparation work.

Quick drying with a tough, low-sheen finish:

The paint is touch dry in just 30 minutes and ready for recoating in 2 hours, keeping decorating projects on schedule. Once fully cured over 7 to 10 days, the film becomes scratch resistant and scrubbable, standing up to regular cleaning in rooms where moisture and condensation are a daily occurrence. The matt low-sheen finish is particularly suited to kitchen walls, ceilings, and basement spaces.

Tintable and fade resistant:

The standard White finish can be tinted to any Pantone, BS, RAL, or NCS shade by requesting the appropriate tint base (Tint Base P for pastels, Tint Base D for deeper shades, or TR Transparent base). The water-based formula is low odour and non-flammable, making it practical to use in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces.
