Around 90 reduced home decor and lighting lines, mostly from Tara Lane and Macquillan.

Mirrors are the strongest section and cover more ground than the category name suggests: Hollywood bulb mirrors, arch mirrors, long bevelled wall mirrors, freestanding dressing mirrors and rotating LED mirrors. A large wall mirror is the cheapest way to make a small Irish sitting room read brighter, and at clearance prices it is one of the few decor buys that changes a room rather than decorating it.

Lighting runs from crystal, glass and metal table lamps and cast aluminium lanterns through to floor lamps, and there is a run of eight novelty USB lamps, astronaut, balloon girl, bubblegum girl and star and moon designs, which sell almost entirely as teenage bedroom gifts. LED battery pillar candles with timers are here as well, and they lift sharply from September onwards.

For walls and surfaces: photo frames in 4x4, 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 plus three, four, six and nine photo collages, wall clocks from 49cm to 76cm, mantel and carriage clocks in the Tara Lane Baker and Brown and Daniel and Ashley ranges, and hand painted canvases and framed prints from Macquillan.

Two smaller groups worth a look. De Vielle fireside companion sets and chimney cleaner, which matter if you burn solid fuel and which peak between September and February. And Lucky Ducks, Irish county souvenir ducks, which are exactly as odd and as popular as they sound.
