Green Letterboxes

Green Letterboxes

A wall-mounted letterbox needs to do two things well: keep post dry and be awkward to force open. Weather resistance comes from the material and the seal around the front flap rather than the colour, and a genuinely waterproof design keeps mail dry through driving rain rather than just light drizzle. A secure locking system matters more on a letterbox fitted at ground or hallway level than one mounted higher up, since it's more exposed to tampering. Cast aluminium designs are heavier and more solid than pressed steel or ABS plastic equivalents, which shows in both feel and long-term weather resistance, while a lighter ABS postbox is easier to fit but generally less robust.

Paprika supplies cast aluminium letterboxes in Fir Green, including the Brosna A4, the compact Al and the deep Moy A4. Postplus supplies an all-weather ABS postbox in green.
