Three different tools here treat muscle tightness in different ways. A percussion massage gun delivers rapid pulses into a small area, which suits pinpointing a specific knot or working a muscle group before and after training, and interchangeable tips are the reason one gun covers several jobs: a ball head for large muscles such as quads and glutes, a flat head for broader general work, a bullet or cone for deep trigger points, and a fork to work either side of the spine without pressing on it. Battery capacity decides run time between charges rather than power. Size then follows use: a full size gun gives more reach and stroke depth for legs and back, while a mini gun fits in a gym bag and is easier to hold at an awkward angle, at the cost of some depth. A foam roller works completely differently, using your own body weight over a long surface to release broad areas like calves, hamstrings and the upper back, and it needs no charging or power at all, which is why it remains the standard warm-up and cool-down tool. A dedicated back massager targets the area hardest to reach yourself. Work on muscle rather than joints or bone, keep sessions short on any one spot, and stop if anything is painful rather than simply tight.
