Armstead Trade Undercoat Paint in White - Solvent-Based, 5 Litre
A reliable base for wood, metal, and masonry:
Armstead Trade Undercoat White is a solvent-based undercoat paint formulated for use on all types of interior and exterior wood, metal, and suitably primed masonry surfaces. It provides good opacity and a low sheen finish, giving your topcoat a consistent, even base. One 5-litre tin covers up to 15 square metres per litre on smooth surfaces of average porosity.
Suitable for professional and domestic projects:
This undercoat paint is suited to both domestic jobs and large-scale applications in commercial, institutional, and industrial settings. It is recommended for use as part of a two-stage system with Armstead Trade High Gloss, where a durable, high-gloss finish is required. Apply by brush or roller only - spray application is not recommended for health and safety reasons associated with solvent-based paints.
Drying times and application guidance:
Touch dry in 2-6 hours depending on temperature and humidity, and recoatable after 6-16 hours. Drying times will be longer in cold or damp conditions. Do not thin this product. Clean brushes and rollers with brush cleaner or white spirit immediately after use. Refer to Armstead Trade Datasheet AM206 for full technical guidance.
