Bosch Series 6 Freestanding Dishwasher with PerfectDry and Home Connect

A-rated efficiency with Zeolith drying:

The SMS6TCI02G carries an Energy Efficiency Class A rating, consuming just 0.543 kWh per cycle and 9.5 litres of water on the Eco programme. Zeolith® PerfectDry uses natural minerals to generate heat during the drying phase, delivering consistently dry results on plastics and glassware - items that often emerge damp from conventional heat-exchange machines.

Quiet enough for open-plan living:

With a noise rating of 42 dB(A) and an Acoustic Class B certification, this dishwasher runs quietly alongside everyday household activity. The EcoSilence Drive™ motor is brushless, which reduces both noise and energy use over the lifetime of the appliance. A dedicated Night programme drops operation to 41 dB(A) for overnight running.

Intelligent wash programme adapts automatically:

The Intelligent programme uses sensors to read the soil level of each load and adjusts temperature, water use, and cycle duration accordingly - so lightly soiled loads are not washed with the same intensity as a full pot-and-pan cycle. Eight programmes in total cover everything from a quick Short wash to a thorough Intensive at 70°C, with an Auto 45-65°C option for everyday mixed loads.

Flexible loading for 14 place settings:

The Max Flex basket system uses colour-coded touch points to fold, lower, or move basket elements with one hand. The upper basket adjusts across three height positions via Rackmatic, while a 3rd rack cutlery drawer frees up space in the lower basket for larger items. AquaMix protection lets delicate glasses sit alongside dirtier items without risk of spray damage.

Home Connect for remote control and added functions:

Home Connect Wi-Fi lets you monitor cycle progress, start or delay a wash, and receive notifications from your phone. Through the app, additional options become available including Half Load, Hygiene Plus, and Silence on Demand - allowing you to pause the acoustics mid-cycle when the room gets busy. Delay start can be set anywhere from 1 to 24 hours for off-peak running.

Built-in safety and water protection:

AquaStop provides lifetime protection against water damage - the dual-walled inlet hose and floor sensor shut off the water supply automatically if a leak is detected at any point. AquaSensor III reads the clarity of the wash water and adjusts rinsing accordingly, avoiding unnecessary water use. A child lock disables the control panel buttons to prevent accidental programme changes.

Setup and Care

Installation:

The SMS6TCI02G is designed for freestanding placement in a standard 60cm kitchen cabinet gap. The worktop is 30mm thick and removable, allowing built-under installation beneath a countertop when needed. The inlet hose (165 cm) and outlet hose (190 cm) provide practical reach to standard kitchen plumbing connections.

First use:

Before the first cycle, add dishwasher salt to the water softener reservoir and rinse aid to the dispenser. Run the Machine Care programme periodically to keep the interior and filter system in good condition. DosageAssist detects the detergent type automatically, so standard or all-in-one tablets both work without manual adjustment.

Routine cleaning:

The stainless-steel tub and filter should be checked and rinsed regularly to maintain wash performance. The anti-fingerprint brushed steel exterior wipes clean with a damp cloth. Rinse aid and salt levels are indicated on the control panel, so the machine prompts you when either needs topping up.

Smart and connectivity tips:

Download the Home Connect app and follow the in-app pairing steps to link the dishwasher to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, Silence on Demand lets you pause the acoustic output instantly from your phone, and Remote Start allows you to delay or trigger cycles without returning to the kitchen.
