Crown Trade All Purpose Exterior Woodstain is a solvent-based formula that absorbs deeply into the timber rather than sitting on the surface. This gives the wood exceptional protection against rain, frost, and UV exposure, reducing the risk of peeling, blistering, and flaking over time.
Well suited to large areas of timber:
This woodstain is particularly effective on cladding, fascias, and rough sawn timber where coverage efficiency matters. With a spreading rate of up to 14m² per litre, a single 5 litre tin covers up to 70m² in one coat, making it a practical choice for sizeable exterior timber projects.
Suitable as a base stain on new exterior joinery:
On new exterior windows and doors, Crown Trade All Purpose Exterior Woodstain can be applied as a base coat prior to finishing with Crown Translucent Woodstain. It is also suitable as a two-coat system on decking. Application is by brush or spray, and the finish moves from matt through satin to semi-gloss depending on the number of coats applied.
