Cuprinol Garden Shades Muted Clay - Matt Exterior Wood Paint with 6-Year Weather Protection

Colour and protect in one coat:

Cuprinol Garden Shades Muted Clay is a water-based exterior paint formulated for sheds, fences, garden furniture, summerhouses, and other garden wood. It delivers a matt, pigment-rich finish that allows the natural texture of the woodgrain to show through, while providing up to 6 years of weather protection. A minimum of 2 coats is recommended for full coverage and durability.

Versatile application across multiple surfaces:

This product can be applied by brush, roller, or spray, making it suited to both smooth and rough sawn timber. It also works on terracotta, brick, and stone surfaces, giving you flexibility across different garden features. It is not suitable for use on decking.

Low VOC and safe around plants and pets:

The formula contains a maximum of 20 g/l VOC - well below the EU regulatory limit of 130 g/l for this product category. It is part of the One Planet Home® range, which recognises products with a low solvent formulation. Once fully dry, it is considered safe for use on wood that pets, wild animals, and birds may come into contact with or gnaw.

Quick drying for practical use:

Under dry conditions, Cuprinol Garden Shades is touch dry in 1 hour and ready to recoat after 8 hours. Apply only in dry conditions, at temperatures above 5°C, and when rain is not forecast. On smooth wood, a 1-litre tin covers approximately 10-12 m² by brush or 4-5 m² by spray per coat. On rough sawn wood, coverage is approximately 3-5 m² by brush or 2-3 m² by spray per coat.
