Wax-Enriched Protection for Sheds and Fences:

Cuprinol Ducksback is a water-based, wax-enriched wood treatment formulated specifically for rough sawn timber surfaces such as garden sheds, fence panels, and garden structures. The wax-enriched formula gives a water-repellent finish that forces moisture to run off the surface, providing waterproof protection for up to 5 years from a single application cycle. One 5-litre tin covers up to 24 m² with one coat, equivalent to approximately 8 standard fence panels.

Quick-Drying and Low Odour:

The Ducksback formula is showerproof in just 1 hour, so garden furniture and outdoor structures are protected quickly even in changeable Irish weather. Full drying time is 2 to 4 hours, with a recoat window of 2 to 4 hours under normal conditions, allowing two coats in a single day. The low-odour, water-based formulation is safe to use around plants and pets once dry.

Application and Surface Guidance:

Cuprinol recommends applying 2 to 3 coats evenly along the grain, avoiding overlaps, and not applying below 5°C or in damp or wet conditions. The paint is suitable for rough sawn wood only and is not recommended for smooth planed wood, decking, or garden furniture.
