De'Longhi Dedica Duo Espresso Coffee Machine in White

Hot and cold espresso from one compact machine:

The De'Longhi Dedica Duo EC890.WI is an espresso coffee machine that brews both traditional hot espresso and cold brew in the same unit. Using De'Longhi's Cold Extraction Technology, it produces cold brew in under 5 minutes - no overnight steeping required. At just 149 mm wide, the Dedica Duo fits on narrow countertops.

15 bar pump and Advanced Thermoblock heating:

The EC890.WI runs a 15 bar pump and De'Longhi's Advanced Thermoblock heating system, which heats quickly so the machine is ready to brew in around 25 seconds from switch-on.

My LatteArt steam wand for textured milk:

The My LatteArt steam wand gives you manual control over milk texturing, letting you work towards the fine microfoam needed for flat whites and lattes. The cool-touch exterior on the wand makes it more comfortable to handle and straightforward to wipe clean after use. A 250 ml stainless steel milk jug is included in the box so you can begin practising straight away.

Touch controls and programmable shot times:

Controls are touch-activated with icon and LED feedback, keeping the front panel clean and uncluttered. Single and double shot times are programmable so you can dial in your preferred brew volume and repeat it consistently. The De'Longhi Dedica Duo white finish and slim metal body suit a range of kitchen styles without taking up more space than necessary.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the removable 1.1-litre water tank and slot it back into the machine before first use. Run a short rinse cycle through the group head - as described in the user manual - to flush the system before brewing your first espresso. The touch controls and LED indicators make navigating the initial setup straightforward.

Daily use tips:

Empty and rinse the drip tray regularly to keep the machine clean between sessions. Wipe the My LatteArt steam wand with a damp cloth immediately after each use to prevent milk residue from drying on. Use the included water hardness test strip to check your tap water and adjust descaling frequency accordingly.

Descaling:

Descale the machine at the interval recommended in the user manual for your water hardness level - typically every one to three months in Irish water conditions. Use a De'Longhi-approved descaling solution and follow the instructions in the user manual. Regular descaling maintains brew temperature consistency and extends the working life of the thermoblock.

Filter and portafilter care:

Remove the portafilter and filter basket after each session, rinse under warm water, and allow to dry. The three included filters can be soaked occasionally in warm water to clear any coffee oils. Store the portafilter in the group head when not in use to keep the gasket in good condition.
