Thermoblock heating and 15 bar pump pressure:

The Dedica uses De'Longhi's Thermoblock heating system, which brings water to the correct brewing temperature quickly and consistently without the need to wait for a full boiler to heat up. Combined with a 15 bar pump, it produces the extraction pressure needed for a proper espresso. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the removable 1.1 litre water tank and refit it to the machine before first use. Run a cycle of plain water through the group head to rinse the internal circuit. The machine is ready to brew as soon as the indicator light confirms the Thermoblock has reached temperature.

Grinding and dosing:

Fill the grinder's bean container, replace the lid and press down to grind. The push-to-grind design lets you grind for as long or as briefly as needed to suit your dose. Tamp the grounds into the portafilter using the included 51 mm tamper before locking the portafilter into the group head.

Frothing milk:

Pour cold milk into the 350 ml stainless steel jug to no more than half full before frothing. Adjust the Adjustable Cappuccino System to the position suited to the drink you are making. Purge the steam wand with a brief burst of steam before and after each use to keep the wand clear.

Routine cleaning:

Remove and rinse the drip tray and water tank after each session. The portafilter and filter baskets are dishwasher safe. Wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth after each use. Descale the machine regularly according to the schedule in the instruction manual, using a De'Longhi-approved descaling solution.
