Two drones in one body:

The Avata 360 records 360-degree video at 8K/60fps using two 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors with 64 megapixels per sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and 2.4 μm pixels. Switch to Single Lens mode and it becomes a traditional FPV camera drone shooting 4K/60fps or 2.7K/120fps, giving you two distinct shooting styles from one aircraft.

Stabilisation and colour tools:

RockSteady 3.0 compensates for vibration in both 360-degree and Single Lens modes, while HorizonSteady locks the horizon during full horizontal rotation up to 360 degrees. The flat D-Log M colour profile retains maximum dynamic range — up to 13.5 stops — for grading in post-production.

O4+ transmission and immersive control:

The O4+ video transmission system delivers a 1080p/60fps live feed at ranges up to 20 km (FCC) or 10 km (CE). DJI Goggles N3 display that feed on a 3.5-inch, 1920 × 1080 screen at 1,350 nits brightness with approximately 130 ms latency, while Head Tracking shifts the view as you move your head. RC Motion 3 puts flight control in natural hand movement, with Easy ACRO mode enabling accessible aerobatics without complex stick inputs.

Flight time and battery management:

Each Intelligent Flight Battery delivers approximately 23 minutes of flight time. The Fly More Combo includes three batteries and a Two-Way Charging Hub that charges all three simultaneously at up to 100 W, with a full charge cycle taking approximately 47 minutes. Combined air time across all three batteries is approximately 69 minutes.

Obstacle sensing and tracking:

Nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing operates in all lighting conditions, including at night using forward-facing LiDAR in 360-degree mode. Vision Assist provides a full-colour 1080p view from front, rear, and side sensors simultaneously. ActiveTrack 360 locks onto a subject and follows them as the drone manoeuvres; Spotlight Free keeps the subject framed while you fly any route you choose.

Storage and connectivity:

The aircraft carries 42 GB of internal storage — approximately 30 minutes of 8K panoramic footage without a memory card. MicroSD cards up to 1 TB are supported, with UHS-I Speed Grade 3 or higher required for 8K recording. Wi-Fi 6 transfers footage at up to 100 MB/s to a connected device via the DJI Fly app, where GyroFrame lets you reframe 360-degree footage using phone movement.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Download the DJI Fly app and connect the RC Motion 3 before your first flight. The aircraft activates through the app, which also walks you through firmware updates and pre-flight checks. Pair the Goggles N3 to the aircraft via the app for Head Tracking and live FPV view.

Storage and battery care:

Store batteries at 40–60% charge if not flying for more than ten days; the Two-Way Charging Hub can manage this automatically via its self-discharge setting. Keep batteries and the aircraft in the included Sling Bag, away from direct sunlight and moisture, when not in use.

Lens and sensor care:

Use the included Lens Cleaning Cloth and the Gimbal Protector when transporting the aircraft. Both 200-degree lenses are fixed-focus from 1.5 m to infinity, so no calibration is needed between flights. Avoid touching the lens surfaces directly.

Regulatory compliance:

The Avata 360 carries EU regulatory class C1 classification. At approximately 455 g, the aircraft requires registration with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) before flight. Check current IAA drone regulations and any local airspace restrictions via the DJI Fly app's built-in geofencing tools before each flight.
