The DJI Lito X1 weighs just 249 g with its standard Intelligent Flight Battery fitted, placing it in the EASA C0 and UK0 regulatory class - the most permissive category, which permits flight over uninvolved people and operation in built-up areas without special authorisation. Despite that compact size, the camera uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor with 48 megapixels, an f/1.7 aperture, and a 3-axis mechanical gimbal covering tilt, roll, and pan. It records 4K/60fps HDR video, supports 10-bit D-Log M colour profiles for post-production grading, and reaches 1080p/200fps for ultra-slow-motion clips.

Obstacle sensing from five directions, including forward LiDAR:

The Lito X1 combines binocular vision cameras, infrared time-of-flight sensors, and a forward-facing LiDAR unit to detect obstacles from all directions - forward, backward, lateral, and upward. The forward LiDAR measures objects up to 36 m ahead with a field of view of 80° vertical by 60° horizontal, and the vision system operates in light levels as low as 5 lux. The drone's ActiveTrack subject-tracking keeps a moving subject in frame at speeds up to 12 m/s, while QuickShots and MasterShots provide automated cinematic flight paths and in-app video editing.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Download the DJI Fly app on iOS or Android before your first flight. Power on the DJI RC 2 controller and the aircraft, follow the in-app pairing instructions, and complete the beginner flight tutorial within the app. Register the drone with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) if required under local regulations - the built-in Remote ID transmits identification data automatically during flight.

Battery care:

Charge all three Intelligent Flight Batteries using the included Charging Hub and a 45 W or greater PD-compatible USB-C charger (not included). Store batteries at 50-60% charge if the drone will not be used for more than ten days - the Intelligent Flight Battery manages discharge automatically when left idle. Avoid charging or storing batteries in temperatures below 5°C or above 40°C.

Camera and gimbal care:

Fit the Gimbal Protector before placing the drone in the shoulder bag or any case. Keep the camera lens clear of fingerprints and dust using a clean microfibre cloth. The Lito X1 has no IP rating, so avoid flying in rain or heavy mist, and allow the drone to dry fully before storing if it has been exposed to light moisture.

Propeller and airframe checks:

Inspect propellers before each flight for nicks, cracks, or deformation, and replace any damaged pair using the spare propellers included in the box. Ensure all four propeller arms click fully into the unfolded and locked position before powering on. Keep the lens, vision sensors, and LiDAR window free from smudges using the DJI Fly app's sensor status screen to confirm all sensing directions are active before takeoff.
